13-DAYS KATHMANDU-RAFTING - CHITWAN AND POKHARA

DAY 01: KATHMANDU:
Arrival at Kathinandu. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to hotel.

DAY 02: KATHMANDU:
AM: Sightseeing tour of Kathtmandu City.
Visit the Durbar Square, Hanuman Dhoka, House of the Living Goddess, Kasthamandap - believed to be built, from a single tree, and other fascinating temples in the area.
Move on to Swayambhunath, the oldest Buddhist Stupa established more than 2500 years ago and also known as the "Monkey Temple". Perched high on a hilltop, it commands a superb view of the entire Kathmandu Valley.

DAY 03: KATHMANDU:
AM: Visit Pashupatinath and Bodnath.
Pashupatinath, the most sacred of all Hindu temples in Nepal situated on the banks of the holy Bagmati River. Non Hindus are not allowed to enter the temple precinets but may look into premises from the opposite bank. lt draws tens of thousands of pilgrims and devotees from Nepal and India during the festival of Mahashivaratri (the night of Lord Shiva).
Bodnatli, possibly the world's largest Buddhist Stupa and a site of great veneration for Buddhists. Around the Stupa have sprung up number of monasteries of the different seets of Tibetan

Buddhism including one (on the West Side of the stupa) those houses an enormous seated statue of Maitreya Buddha splendidly adorned.
PM: Sightseeing tour of Bhaktapur, also known as the "City of Devotees". This is the home of medieval art and architecture.Tread the 17th century along cobbled pavements and marvel at the ancient architectures. Visit the Lion Gate, the Picture Gallery, the Golden Gate, and the Palace of Fifty five Windows.

DAY 04: KATHMANDU-TRISULI RIVER: Leave Kathmandu early in the morning and drive for 2 hours through beautiful countryside to the raft put in point. After our experienced river guide explains you about the safety measures, set down on the Trishuli River. Stop for lunch enroute. Overnight camp on one of the beautiful sandy beaches

DAY 05: RIVER: Continue down on the river. Camp on the sandy beach.

DAY 06: RIVER - CHITWAN NATIONAL PARK : After breakfast continue down on the river for another one hour to a point where our vehicle will be waiting to drive you to Chitwan National Park. Arrive the Park and check-in to your Jungle Safari Lodge. After lunch village tour to a nearby ethnic Tharu Village.

DAY 07: CHITWAN:
AM:
After Breakfast Canoe ride along the rapti river an excellent opportunity for Bird Watching and for seeing the 2 rare species of crocodiles: the Marsh Mugger and the fish eating Gharial + Jungle walk + on the way back one can enjoy the elephant bathing.
After lunch; Elephant safari to view the wildlife. Chitwan is the home of great one horned rhinoceros, Royal Bengal tiger, spotted deer, wild boar, sloth bear, monkeys, leopard, gatir, gharial crocodiles, pythan and more than 450 species of birds.
PM: Tharu Cultural Dance presentation or slides show presentation. Dinner, Overnight at Lodge.

DAY 08: CHITWAN - POKHARA: After breakfast visit to the Government Elephant Breeding Center and after that drive to Pokhara (4-5 hours drive). Arrive Pokhara and check-in to your hotel Tibet Resort.
DAY 09: POKHARA: Sightseeing tours. Visit the Seti gorge, Mahendra Cave, Davis Fall and the beautiful Phewa Lake. Overnight at hotel Tibet Resort, Pokhara.

DAY 10: POKHARA - KATHMANDU: Transfer to airport for a half an hotir's fliglit back to Kathmandu. Meet and transfer to hotel.

DAY 11: KATHMANDU:
AM:
Transfer to airport for early moming Mountain Flight. Enjoy close-up views of Mt. Everest and other Himalayan giants.
PM: Sightseeing tour of Patan City, the City of arts and architecture founded in 250 A.D.
and also known as Lalitpur. lt is renowned for its fine works in bronze, silver and copper.
Visit the Durbar Square, Royal Baths, Mahaboudha, Krishna Mandir and Hiranya Verna
Mahabihar (the Golden Temple).
Also visit the Tibetan Refugee Camp at Jawalakhel to watch the carpet weaving Operation.

DAY 12: KATHMANDU: Day at leisure. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 13: DEPARTURE: Transfer to airport for departure flight.
